Creation

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago” - Ephesians 2:10

What were we created to do?  It is a question that is burned into all of us that live.  We constantly seek purpose, meaning, destiny.  When we do not live what Christ has created us to do, we become restless.  We were created for a specific purpose and should spend our lives doing exactly what we were designed for.  A hammer is only used for hammering.  A toaster is only used for making toast.  We are only created to serve God.

We are all unique and God has made us all to serve Him in different capacities.  I love teaching and public speaking, but I know many people in the world are thankful that God has not called all of His people to talk in front of crowds.  I know people that serve God by leading worship or creating art, both of which are things that I greatly lack talent in.  When we unite together with our personality, passions, and talents chasing after God and living out His specific purpose for each of us, we will change the face of the world.

1 Corinthians 12:12 says, “Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.”  What did God create you to do? Are you doing it?
