The crater completely replaced the old football stadium. Thankfully, no lives were lost by the force of the falling meteor, but the town remembered it for quite some time. The football team suffered for a short time. The stadium obviously was missing for a few years, but eventually a brand new one replaced it. All the change served as a reminder of the day that a meteor impacted their lives in a massive way.
I am all about impact. I want people to remember their “collision” with me and the impact that God left on them through me. For this reason, I try to have all the preparation (prayer and bible study) done so I can share what God has showed me to those that I am sharing God’s love with.
Many people tell me that one day they hope to impact others lives as I have impacted theirs but they need time to grow in Christ before they can help others. My answer to this is found in John 4.
Jesus speaks with woman at a well for a matter of minutes. In that time she realizes who He was and runs back into town to tell everyone she had met Jesus, the promised Savior of Humanity, the Son of God. Verse 39 says, “Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” She only had a few seconds in between speaking with God and sharing with others.
Of course we should spend time in God’s word and in prayer, but we impact the lives of others through the experience of what God has done in our own life. With that experience we will always have something that we can share with others. No one knows what God has magnificently done in your life better than yours. So share the love. When we hold in the things that God has shown us, we deny others a chance to be blessed by it as well. So share your heart, and maybe God can save a heart through you.
